Help on text formatting

There are some simple escape sequences you can use to get greek, italic, and formatting effects in your titles and legends.

You can change fonts, adjust spacing and get special characters in your text strings by using the following escape sequences:

\ustart superscript or end subscript
\dstart subscript or end superscript
\bbackspace
\fnswitch to simple stroke font (default)
\frswitch to roman font
\fiswitch to italic font
\fsswitch to script font
\\backslash

\.centered dot
\AAngstrom symbol
\gxgreek character (see table below)
\mn
\mnn

\(nnnn)Special character nnnn (1..4 digits, see below).

Greek letters

The escape sequence for greek letters is in the form \gx. Where the x is the single character to escape.

Upper case letters are escaped to upper case greek letters. The correspondance used is:

greek letter:alphabetadeltaepsilonzetaetathetaiota
char entered:a b d e z y h i
greek letter:kappalambdamunuxiomicronpirho
char entered:k l m n c o p r
greek letter:sigmatauupsilonphichipsiomega
